We’ve finally found a bread recipe that makes something that actually looks and feels like bread. These come out amazing and both healthy AND delicious!
As luck would have it, we use 6 egg whites in this recipe, so you have the perfect amount of yolks for a batch of Super Mayo. 🙂
- 2.5 cups almond flour
- 10 tablespoons psyllium husk
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 4 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 cups of boiling water
- 6 egg whites
- Seasame Seeds to garnish.
We make this with a hand mixer; Put all the dry ingredients into a bowl and give them a quick mix; Then put the apple cider vinegar in, and with the mixer going, pour in the boiling water quickly followed by the egg whites.
Mix it all until it’s properly mixed and gooey. Then form it into bread roll size portions, you should get 8 reasonable rolls out of this mix. Pop them on your baking tray, but not leave them too round, we found squishing them a little flat (not super flat, just make them wider than they are tall) produces a slightly better result.
Wet the top of them and sprinkle on your sesame seeds. Bake them for an hour at 180 degrees.
Now, double down on the health benefits and make sure you slather them with butter. 🙂
