This recipe is awesome. Super Awesome. Mega Super Awesome. We’ve never tasted anything like it! Salty deliciousness from start to finish. It does require a bit of effort, more perhaps than we are used to investing, but the results are fantastic!
The inclusion of Tumeric makes this an extra healthy meal. While the tumeric is only added to make the sauce bright and colourful, it’s also a really good spice for your health.
- 40 grams of butter
- 330 grams of brown onion sliced
- 385 Grams of thinly sliced steak
- 220g grams mushrooms
- 200 grams Capsicums diced
- Salt and Pepper
Cheese Sauce
- 80 grams whole/heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tablespoon ground tumeric
So here’s how you put this beauty together;
Start by putting the butter in a fry pan and frying the onions. Season them with a little salt and pepper, and cook them on a low heat for about 25 minutes. You want them to go golden brown but not burn them, so you need to take your time with this.
After about 5 minutes, add the mushrooms to the pan so they can start cooking as well. Five minutes again and drop in the capsicum. Stir occasionally until everything is golden brown and super yummy.
Lightly fry the strips of beef, it actually tastes extra yummy if you sort of BBQ them on a high heat.
For the sauce, heat the cream gently in a saucepan, once its not, stir in the tumeric and the mustard. once it starts to thicken, turn off the heat and stir in the cheese.
Serve the steak strips topped with the onion mix and drizzled with a generous serve of the sauce.
