Currently a work in progress, we are trying to get a good recipe for a protein bar to keep our teenager happy and healthy;
- 2 Cups Plain Flour
- 2 Cups Shredded Coconut
- 2 Cups Rolled Outs
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 250g Butter
- 2 Tbps Golden Syrup
- 2 Tbps Bicarb Soda
- 6 Egg Yolks
- 2 Whole Eggs
- 4 Scoops Protein Powder
Mix it all up and bake it for 25 Minutes at 150 degrees in a fan forced oven. Cut it up into 16 Bars.
This yeilds a bar with the following stats;
Protein | Carbs | Sugar | Fat | Sat Fat | Kilojoules | |
Per Bar | 7.6 | 25.0 | 5.0 | 21.0 | 13.1 | 1346 |
We’re trying to figure out a recipe for something like this, but with more protein, any Chef’s out there who could suggest some changes to make that happen?
